Es handelt sich um einen hochwertigen CD Recorder mit Fernbedienung, von Philips, primär gedacht für Audioaufnahmen mit CD-Audio Disketten( 1 Stück liegt bei). Es können aber auch CD-R verwendet werden. Man liest die CD Audio ein, öffnet die CD Lade händisch, nimmt die Audio CD heraus und legt die CD-R ein und schließt die Lade händisch. Der CDR 880 kann aber auch als normaler CD Player verwendet werden. Mehrere Analog und Digital-Ein und Ausgänge ( siehe Fotos). Er wurde primär für das Überspielen von Audiocassetten mit dem Pioneer F810S Cassettendeck verwendet. Beide Geräte standen viele Jahre staubdicht verpackt im Schrank. Leider hat sich herausgestellt, dass das Pioneer Cassettendeck nicht einsetzbar ist. Es wird in einer weiteren Auktion angeboten.Die Bedienungsanleitung gibt es um 10 Euro bei Ebay. Die Bilder sind ein Bestandteil der Beschreibung.
