However, the recorder side doesn’t seem to function properly. When the unit is powered on, the recorder tray opens - attempting to close it results in it opening again. This behavior is the same regardless of whether there is a CD inserted. There is also something on the screen causing a blurred effect. Might be an easy fix? Buyer to receive the exact item shown. This auction is for a Philips CD-R 750 CD recorder and 3 Disc player. This recorder records CDs properly for playback in any CD player. The CD recorder records properly, but when the CD recorder tray plays back the CD it recorded, there is some static noise. Only the CDs that are recorded on this machine. The burned discs that are recorded on this machine play back perfectly on the 3 disc changer side of this machine and any other CD player. The CD recorder side will play commercially recorded CDs just fine. It just doesnt play back the CDs it records without noise. I know it seems weird, but they are playing back just fine on any other machine. It has the option of recording from a CD from the 3 CD changer side or from an Analog input (rca) or digital coax / optical input on the back. It will not record copy protect digital sources, but it will record any analog input or non copy protected digital input or CD. The remote control is not included.
