The grilles are okay, they have small tears, could be re-clothed, or just use the speakers without the grilles on. You will not be disappointed by the sound of these speakers. They are heavy and clearly made very well. The bass is good and can be used without a subwoofer especially in 2 channel listening. The sound is Great Loud & Clear and can handle some Bass - They Sound Amazing Whether you want to Bump Out or Rock The Block, They can even go for an AUDIOPHOLE Sound as Well When I got these speakers, there were missing all 4 caps for speaker connecters also 1 cabinet had no sound coming from the mid & High Tweeters, So I took it to my homies at the Local Repair Shop and found out that the high reset was bad and unfortunately they could not get a new part unless I placed $100 order for parts from Japan, So they rebuilt the Speaker connectors on one cabinet and installed fuses, Please see pics for difference, I also bought some wing nuts for the other cabinet also 1 cabinet has 2 busted corners, these are museum pieces but you couldnt ask for a better set of garage speakers!!!!!!!!
