We purchased these units in error years ago to work with our Phase Linear 400 and 4000 gear and they were unreturnable. Boxes were dry rotted so these will be re-packaged to travel safely. Phase Linear 2000 Stereo preamp preamplifier that powers up and plays well. This preamp has not been serviced and am not the original owner. As with all vintage gear this age it will require some degree of updating at some point. All pots should be lubricated. Shipping via FEDEX. Im offering this Phase Linear 2000 Stereo Console in this listing. The Phase Linear brand was know at the time as the Poor Mans McIntosh because of its sound quality that approached that of McIntosh gear without the high cost. This 2000 has the sonic neutrality Phase Linear is famous for. This unit has been recapped and restored to its glory and then some. I employed my 35 years as an audio tech to not only increase performance, but to improve on the original designs without changing their original character. In other words, if you like that unique vintage Phase Linear vibe, youre going to get more of what you like minus the on/off pops. If youve ever wanted to own a Phase Linear 2000, you may want to snag this one because Ive upgraded from all of the problems you may have experienced in the future including replacing all of the input and output RCA connections.
