You are looking at one of the rare high fidelity THX Ultra stereo power amplifiers meticulously designed by highly respected audio engineer John Curl: Parasound HCA-1500A Ultimate High Fidelity High Current Stereo (2-Channel) Power Amplifier - THX Ultra Certified I have owned it since 2003 when I bought it brand new. It is in great condition, since I took care of it. I always used a power conditioner to run it and kept it in an airconditioned environment. The power conditioner supplied it a stable voltage, which has maintained all the internal components in a pristine condition. I have provided pictures of the internals: notice the completely discrete circuit (no integrated circuits), massive capacitors, huge toroidal transformer, mosfets and extra large heat sinks to maintain the ambient temperature within the operating range - no wonder this singing puppy weighs 40 pounds. It comes with power cord and factory-installed 18 rack ears. You can remove them if you are going to put them on a tabletop. PLEASE NOTE: I have 2 such amplifiers and I have listed a quantity of 2. This sale is for 1 unit only with each unit priced at $555 plus shipping. Both are exactly same. The differences are in the serial number and one of them has RMK-3 mark on the rackmount ears, while the other one does not have. This is a great amplifier that I've been using for the past couple weeks. It is performing exactly as it should. Cosmetically it is in very good condition with only a slight superficial marks/scratches. Please refer to pictures and feel free to contact us with any questions.

For true audio aficionados, here is the ultimate analog system with Lexicon MC-4 pre-amplifier (sorry, this preamp is partially digital :-) I have 5 of these Parasound HCA-1500A stereo power amplifiers mounted in a rack. My preference is that if you are interested, you can pick it up locally. If (and only if) I get sufficient interest from the analog audiophile community, I may be willing to pull them out one by one and ship individually. If I ship these singing puppies individually, then Ill cancel this listing and relist each amplifier individually. Well, Ill confess to the audiophile community all my sins. I had hooked my AppleTV through an HDMI/SPDIF splitter (bought from Amazon. Lord have mercy!) to the Lexicon preamp (WHAT???, yes, shame on me! Forgive me, father). I got greedy and sacrificed my devotion to the true reproduction audiophile-ness at the altar of convenience. Anyway, Ill repent for my sins by selling this system to an audiophile (there is still a dispute if loch ness monster and audiophiles exist) who could take care of it with TLC. Also, I forgot it has an excellent Monster power conditioner too. The system works perfectly. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Again, as I said my preference is to sell it lock stock and barrel.
