Thin mark on the top right that you cant feel so not scratched. I took a close up. Perfect everywhere else.More laid back than many solid state items in the under $2K range. Has body and harmonically rich in the midrange. Designed by John Curl.It does nothing wrong and matched with a wide range pof products unless your system is already overly warm. Even the phone stage is quite good compared to sub $800 outboard phono stages.

I am selling a Parasound Halo P5 Preamp. It is in excellent working condition. The one issue is the finish on the remote seems to be breaking down. It is sticky (!?). You might want to get another one, although on a pre-amp, volume is just about all you would be doing with the remote. I have all the original packing materials and can ship in the original box. I paid $1,095. I think this price is pretty reasonable.

Up for sale is a very nice Parasound Halo P5 Preamplifier. This unit works great and sounds fantastic! It is in good overall condition with pictured blemishes on the top of the case. The motorized volume control makes a tiny bit of noise through one channel when it is being adjusted. I asked a Parasound dealer and found out it is normal with the P5. Youll likely not hear it but I wanted to note it in the description. This unit has worked well with all the amplifiers Ive tried with it. I tried using the crossover filters on the back and they worked well too. That is a very good feature especially if you want to run a subwoofer that you built that does not have its own crossover, or if you want to high pass filter your main speakers (great for Magnepans!) I bought a brand new replacement remote from Parasound for $50 that is included. Also included is a bonus generic spare remote. Full functionality of the spare remote is not guaranteed but I verified the volume control works just fine. Chances are if you are reading this you likely know all about the P5 already. It is in great overall condition with a few small blemishes on the top case from the feet of other audio equipment. This unit has worked with every amplifiers Ive paired it with. Hello there, here is a Parasound P5 which is a 2.1 stereo preamplifier with digital to analog coverter, phono and remote. This is truely a full function preamp with built in DAC for optical, USB and coaxial digital sources, Phono, balanced XLR in and out, trigger connection to turn on other components, subwoofer outputs and crossover, home theater bypass, bass and treble (with tone bypass). The phono input even has selectable loading for different types of phono cartriges. There is a front panel 3.5mm input for iphone/android, and also a 3.5mm headphone jack. Really there is no legitimate feature that is absent. Includes remote, USB cable and power cable that came with the unit; original manuals. I purchased this from The Music Room years ago and it came triple boxed, so will ship triple boxed, including the original box on the very inside. The boxes by themselves empty are very heavy and an old USPS label indicates about $60 to ship originally, so this is built into the price. Very good condition, a small scratch on the left side of the faceplate as you can see but this is virtually invisible to the naked eye and accentuated by the high resolution photos. No known issues, this was in a second system that has been sold off so I no longer need it and figured someone out there could use it. Free shipping in USA. Any questions just ask.
