It is in great condition, since I took care of it. I always used a power conditioner to run it and kept it in an airconditioned environment. The power conditioner supplied it a stable voltage, which has maintained all the internal components in a pristine condition. I have provided pictures of the internals: notice the completely discrete circuit (no integrated circuits), massive capacitors, huge toroidal transformer, mosfets and extra large heat sinks to maintain the ambient temperature within the operating range - no wonder this singing puppy weighs 40 pounds. Great sounding John Curl designed Parasound HCA-1206, six channel amplifier. I am the second owner. Always had Ac infinity fans running when using it. Never abused or cranked and used minimally over the past nine years. While it is a great amp for HT, it is as just as good for two channel listening. All channels are functioning with no issues. It's in good condition, work for a Smart Home company and we put these in all the time. We have a lot of storage to get rid of and we have an extra used HCA-1500A High Current Power Amplifier and its been in a building for like a year now and just won't to get rid of some stuff that we don't need anymore. Up for sale is a beautiful and POWERFUL Parasound HCA-1206 THX CERTIFIED 6 channel power amplifier. This amp puts out 135 Watts per Channel when run in 6 channel mode. Two pairs of channels can be bridged producing a whopping 350 Watts per Channel for the bridged channels!! This amp was from the original owner. I have thoroughly tested this amp and it is working perfectly. Cosmetically the unit is in excellent overall condition. There are a few minor scuffs on the top front edge and typical minor marks elsewhere. Here is information about the unit from HiFi Review: The Parasound HCA-1206, designed by the well-known circuit designer John Curl, is an exceptionally powerful and versatile high-performance power amplifier certified by Lucasfilm for use in Home THX surround-sound systems. It is also suitable for multiroom audio systems or any other application requiring as many as six independent high-power amplifiers.With all channels driven, each channel of the HCA-1206 is conservatively rated to deliver 120 watts into 8 ohms, or 180 watts into 4 ohms, from 20 Hz to 20 kHz with less than 0.07 percent total harmonic distortion (THD).
