I purchased this mighty sub as part of a trio. I do not have a need for it right now. Id luke to know that it will be appreciated in another system. Ive narrowed down my choice of sub to the Siesmuc 12s. They pack an effortless punch to your home theater or roll them off and give your other channels a rest trying to hit that low that the Paradigms do for a living when listening to 2 channel stereo. All of the compliance rings are pliable. The cabinet is in 7+ condituon. 8 isnt a stretch. A very faint buzz can B heard if there nothing else on line. My others Seismics did the same thing. When they are powered up, auto on, the buzz disappears. Full disclosure as I want to keep my audio karma strong. I do have 1 original box. I have a figure in mind thatd let it go... lets talk. I also have one seismic with a one self deatrucTED passive radiator. Paradigm, CANADA is not so forthcoming w/ parts. It is TBC. Anybody out there with a single PR for sale? Id prefer a local pickup. This is one used Paradigm PS Series 12” ported, powered home theater subwoofer. It was made in the 1990s in Canada. For home use only, runs on 120VAC I bought it used from the original owner in Unionville, Nevada a few years ago. The original driver’s “tinsel wires” were broken, and I decided to replace the original driver with a new “Dual” branded 12” one. The install of the new driver is shown here in the last photos. I used caulk to seal the driver against the baffle it is screwed to, and made sure that all the screws were VERY tight. Paradigm Reference Sub 12. Original owner, bought new. Ive debated about selling this as its such a nice, huge sounding sub with great LF extension. At one point I thought Id update and tried several new subs but none could do the lows like this one. Not without going into the thousands again. Ultimately Ive done away with surround sound altogether and have gone 2-channel vintage tube audio only. The sub is in nice condition, there are 4 dings of note that Ive taken pictures of. The stock plastic grill guides have been replaced by much sturdier wood guides (the pins that hold the grill onto the sub). SHIPPING INFO: Currently, Im listing this as local pickup only until I finish packing it properly (need to pick up some foam for additional protection) and have gotten accurate measurements and weight.
