Panasonic SA-PM30MD Stereo System CD Cassette Radio Minidisc FWO VGC

The CD player works and the tuner works but the cassette and mini disc player do not work unfortunately. The cassette will rewind but not play or fastforward, most likely perished belts. The minidisc player will accept discs and attempt to read them but I just get a disc error message. Does get great sound for a small unit. Pity it isnt fully functional. Cosmetically there is signs of wear and tear but no signs of drop damage or dents. Listed as spares or repairs. Panasonic MD Stereo System SA-PM30MD. CD & MD section work fine regarding playing recording etc. Tape deck is erratic, sometimes will play, sometimes not. If recording on tape deck very faint playback. Signs of rust to mechanism. Please note separate bass & treble on speaker outputs. If you just plug a pair of speakers in you will only get bass. A way round is to plug an amplifier into the headphone socket & youll get bass & treble out at the same time. Sold for parts or not working due to tape deck issue. Used, some marks, seems to have something spilt on front at some point. No leads, aerials or remote supplied. You can edit MD from the front buttons.

Panasonic MD Stereo System SA-PM30MD. CD/ MD/ Cassette/ Radio Hifi. CD Faulty This is the hi fi only with a power cord but no speakers or remote. Firstly the good. The cassette plays, minidisc plays, radio plays. Now the bad, doesn’t recognise CDs but may just need a laser clean. Tapes play bit fast forward and rewind seem very slo so may need new belts. Secondly the sound. The sound seems really bassy with no mid range or treble. You can change these settings and get it a little bit more listenable. May be the speaker I used to test it with but sounds like a bass boost or something is on. Also the sound seems a little quiet. It can go fairly loud but you’d expect it to go higher. Back to the good again. Very gadgety. The front slides back to reveal the bass, treble, volume and recording buttons for mini disc, tape, etc. button on the top for the tape deck makes it slowly open up but push down to play the tape. Overall condition is good, minor wear and tear (see photos)
