Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This cartridge produces static sound when a finger is brushed gently across the front. Sound is identical if you brushed across one with an intact needle / stylus. It was on an older turntable prior to removal and removed as the stylus / needle looks to be broken off. Otherwise fully intact with flip up and down guard and mounting screws. Guard sits in the detents perfectly and securely. Original needles are available; however, most seem costly as this cartridge is no longer made. There are sellers in Canada and Europe; couple in USA, that offer replacements that fit this cartridge. I can’t provide specific seller names; however, in the SEARCH box put ORTOFON FF15XE Mk. II and limit the price between $20 and $40. You could also try $10 minimum in your SEARCH. That will get you some options. I do not vouch for compatibility so verify with the seller if there is any doubt. Given it is currently non functional I offer it as a Parts and Repair. On receipt hook to your turntable wiring and brush finger across front to produce sound prior to purchasing a stylus / needle replacement. If there is sound it is a good bet it will work; not guaranteed. Image shows connections color coded so easy to connect the cartridge to your tonearm wiring. If there is no static sound advise for prompt resolution; within three days of receipt. I only guarantee it will produce sound when finger brushed across the front. You will have to remove the broken stylus / needle before installing a replacement stylus / needle. Second image appears to be out of focus; just the guard placed in front. Over time I purchased this as well as other vintage gear with the aim of restoration. However; I now have too many projects for my Pioneer, Kenwood and Technics and this is offered. I will be listing additional turntables, speakers, possibly a couple of amps, cassette players, reel to reel units and miscellaneous vintage gear including a couple of reel to reel dust covers. It will be a slow listing process of a couple each week so add me as a seller and get emails when I add more. Properly placed in two plastic bags to keep screws from the cartridge itself and gently wrapped in packing before placement in small cardboard box. Shipping is a flat $5.00 to any USA destination that accepts this via USPS Ground Advantage to your ZIP code. I normally ship the first business day after payment and always by the second business day. Shipping includes $100 free insurance coverage. I cover all insurance costs over $100. There is no insurance charge to the buyer; buyer only pays actual shipping cost. USPS will not post; in most cases, the insurance on the shipping label. I understand that is to avoid having individuals looking at the insurance value and determining the value of the package contents; thereby minimizing theft of high value items. Be assured that your package is insured. In the unlikely event I forget to add the insurance I will stand by claims for packages valued over $100. If damaged upon receipt; beyond as it is described, you agree to process any claim if the shipper agrees. Sometimes they will not if it is an eBay item. If you can process it the shipper many times will let you keep the item; even if the claim is paid. I will assist and support any possible claim. The buyer or seller can initiate a claim. That is allowed by UPS and USPS. Be sure to take photos of the box and any item damage. I have not processed a UPS or USPS claim since 2013 as I pack very well. I think the 2013 USPS claim was bogus; but watcha gonna do? I put accurate sizes and weights for the shipping calculations. I do not pad the size or weight to get extra funds through excess shipping costs. You can check these against shipping costs at their websites. Do not ding me for shipping cost as the size and weight is revealed in this listing for you to check the shipping cost before you bid. Both UPS and USPS have apparently instituted weekend “stops” of their shipments as there is a shortage of quality employees who want to earn a living. This does entail a weekend delay in many instances. I normally am not able to ship on a weekend or holiday; not considered a business / shipping day by eBay rules. Sometimes I can ship on a weekend or holiday; no guarantees. Request do not ding me for shipping time as I always ship in one or two business days and I have no control on the actual movement or the transit time of the shipped items. That consideration would be appreciated. I make zero, nada, nuttin and zip on shipping. ???? I do not add a so-called handling charge nor do I charge for any materials. I reuse boxes and packing materials in most case; all clean. I do not cancel bids for any reason; other than for non-payment. I disclose as much as I can about my items; that is why most listings are long and detailed. That being said please message any questions before a bid. Thank you. If I do overlook something significant, I will resolve it. Stands, props, or other items that may be seen are not included unless specified. Ask questions before you bid, please. I answer quickly and always within 24 hours; normally much sooner. This 23-year Military Mustang says Thank You and my Rescue Pups say Woof!
