Description
Welcome to ELC Audio Engineering and my eBay store. Please read the description carefully before bidding or asking questions. I am not a surplus dealer, nor do I operate a calibration (metrology) service. I am a semi-retired physicist/hearing scientist/EE and author. Nearly all items come from my personal lab and collection of miscellany (meaning I generally have in-depth knowledge of the items being sold). Shipping: eBay does NOT automatically adjust for the shipping cost of combined items. If you purchase multiple items that can be combined into a single shipment, please ask for an invoice so that I can deduct from the shipping (and save you money!). I charge for actual shipping only (i.e. no added fees) using eBays shipping calculator. International bidders must use eBays International shipping service. Please read [1] for additional shipping info. I do not use stock photos or canned descriptions. What you see in my photos is exactly what youre bidding on. I do not borrow photos from other sellers, nor do I use eBays database. Other sellers have used my photos (noting I have zero affiliation with those sellers), and why I have added the tungsten (atomic symbol W) coffee mug for personal identification. If sellers arent using their own photos, then you really dont know what youre buying or bidding on. Photos are an integral part of my descriptions: Please view all photos carefully. If something isnt clear, please ask questions before you bid. Pictures may include test equipment, cables, connectors, and auxiliary equipment that are not a part of the auction. Please read the description carefully so you know exactly what you are bidding on. With very few exceptions, I do not accept returns. Read [2] for further details regarding this policy. Nothing in this listing is misleading--check my feedback as a seller [3]. Many thanks for keeping eBay a positive buying and selling experience. This listing is for one Pro-Ject Debut RecordMaster turntable (this was their classic version, but with nice upgrades). Please view all photos carefully, as theyre much better descriptors than my writing. Upgrades for this Pro-Ject Debut RecordMaster turntable include the Acryl-it acrylic platter; the Oroton OM10 phono cartridge (the OM10 has a better stylus and cantilever than the lower-priced OM5e); and the Connect-it RCA-to-RCA interconnect. The dustcover is for the RecordMaster ii, and I believe this looks cleaner than the original RecordMaster dustcover with bevelled top-front edge (making it look cheaper). Important: The RecordMaster has a built-in phono preamplifier for moving magnet (MM) phono cartridges, meaning you do NOT need a dedicated phono input stage or preamplifier. Be sure to connect the turntable to a line-level input, such as auxiliary (AUX), tuner, CD, etc. Theres also a built-in ADC (analog-to-digital converter) and USB connection to a PC, but I never used the USB connector. As you can see in one of the photos, I have the turntable alonside a modest, but complete record-playing system. The amplifier and speakers shown in photo(s) are NOT include, but theyre being auctioned separately. Note the turntable, via the Connect-it cable, is connected directly to the amplifier; again, a PHONO input is not needed (nor should one be used beyond this turntables built-in phono preamp). The stylus has a lot of life left in it; in fact, I wouldnt be playing the rare gold vinyl LP shown (circa 1973) if I believed the stylus would damage a record. The Pro-Ject Acryl it platter is an anti-resonant and stylish acrylic platter upgrade for both older and current Debut turntables. The turntable being listed here includes a felt mat, but unlike using a metal platter, the use of a felt (or rubber) mat is optional with the acrylic platter. Plenty of info can be found online, but Ill be glad to answer questions (assuming I have answers). Reminder: International buyers must choose eBays International Shipping Service. Thank you for viewing! [1] I pack items with great care--the same way Id like to receive a delicate or valuable item. Like other sellers, I do not have control over shipping costs or carrier delivery time. Small- and medium-sized items will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Larger parcels will be shipped via FedEx Home or FedEx Ground. Unlike Jeff B, neither eBay nor I operate our own shipping services--this means no free, prime, or overnight shipping (although I ship some items for free depending on size). [2] Why I no longer accept returns: In a few unfortunate incidences, bidders with buyers remorse had intentionally damaged perfectly good equipment in order to receive a refund. In other instances, buyers were simply incompetent: Equipment was damaged because these buyers did not know how to properly use or handle it; yet, they wanted refunds because of the damage they had caused. Bottom line: No returns! If the wrong item is shipped or if their is a gross oversight on my part (I have yet to do either of these), I will promptly refund or exchange the item and pay for return shipping. Please understand what youre buying is USED unless its clearly stated as new. [3] Im batting 100% positive feedback after nearly two decades of buying and selling on eBay*. I kindly leave positive feedback for those who do the same. Prior to my current username, I had over 1500 combined selling and buying reviews with 100% positive feedback. *(I changed my username since starting on eBay in order to reflect my current business.) Regarding sensitive electronic equipment: I encourage all viewers to compare my listings to other sellers listings and photos: If a printed circuit board is placed on anything other than an ESD mat, then the seller doesnt know how to exercise appropriate ESD precautions. Many electronic components are easily compromised or destroyed due to improper handling. I use appropriate ESD protection measures when handling static-sensitive equipment. Items that are ESD sensitive will be shipped in anti-static wrapping. I do not entertain best offers, nor do I end auctions early. Item will be sold to the high bidder (heck, a single bidder might get a fantastic deal). Items not paid for after 72 hours will be re-listed. On Oct-19-24 at 12:35:43 PDT, seller added the following information: I updated the photos to show how the turntable has been packed. As you can see, it is double-boxed, with turntable and dust cover in individual cartons. The turntable has been carefully packed and is ready to ship. Cheers!
