This is an Ortofon FF15XE MkII Phono Cartridge with a new 4540-DEL elliptical stylus. The replacement elliptical is a .3 x .7 with a tracking force of 1.7 to 2.3 grams (see card in photo). The cartridge/replacement is in good working order and not even broken in yet (I played one album to make sure everything worked). Due to the age of the item it is being sold as is. I’m also including the original Ortofon stylus, which has a damaged cantilever/stylus.

Vintage Ortofon FF15XE MkII Turntable Phono Cartridge and Stylus Nice Condition. Very nice Ortofon OEM Cartridge and Stylus. This one tested out very nice for continuity. I have included a few microscope photos of the diamond itself, and as you can see, it is very sharp and has a lot of life left in it. I put this cartridge in a Thorens headshell, set it to the recommended 2 grams tracking force and played a few records with it. It has a crisp sound that was surprisingly good in the upper end and nice mid and bass as well. I have a video on my YouTube if you would like to see it tracking along nicely. The suspension is in good condition as the video shows. Extremely nice and flawless classic Ortofon FF15XE MKII phono cartridge made in Denmark by people that know what they are doing. This one is multimeter tested at an almost matching 789/790 ohms per channel. I have installed a high quality 0.3x0.7 diamond elliptical stylus with flip down stylus guard and mounted and aligned it on a new quality Technics SL-1200 repro headshell. Designed to track between 1.7-2.3 grams. I tested it at 1.8 grams for 30 minutes and I was really taken back by its overall complete sonic ability. Everything shown in the photos is included except the headshell stand. The last photo shows the original yellow damaged stylus.The new stylus is in a foam padded case and once again sounds tremendous. I will include the damaged stylus to you for reference only. This will make a great everyday player or a wonderful spare which we all should have at the ready. FREE shipping to the lower 48 United States only.
