Attention mono geeks! Here is an amazing opportunity to buy one of THE classic mono cartridges, the Ortofon SPU Mono CG 25 Di MKII. Used but in EXCELLENT condition, played a maximum of 5-10 hours, no more than that. This is a moving coil cartridge and requires either a phono preamp that can handle moving coil cartridges, or a step up transformer (SUT) into a regular phono preamp. (I happen to be selling a Rothwell SUT; see my other items.). Cartridge uses a 1.0 mil conical stylus and reproduces records from the late 1940s through @ 1958 with incredible clarity and presence. (After 1959, most mono records were cut for a .7 mil conical stylus.) You can use this 1.0 mil stylus on any mono records, however, even contemporary reissues. Just don’t use it on a stereo record!
