You are bidding on 2 Oppo DV981HD players with remotes and power cords. These units were purchased new in 2007 and 2008, and have served me faithfully all these years. The region-free feature worked flawlessly, which was one of the main reasons I had purchased this model.After returning from a recent vacation, I noticed that neither unit would operate, although the issue appears to be a bit different between the two units (see photos.) The one unit had a blue LED power light, but is unresponsive otherwise. The other unit has the infamous purple power LED when plugged in.. this is a known issue related to faulty power supply components, resistors and/or chipset issues. I have included the serial numbers of the units, along with pictured of the LEDs that light up when each unit is powered on. Since Oppo got out of the video business a few years ago, sadly, there are very few if any resources for repair of these units..In some instances, people have been able to replace resistors and/or capacitors and were able to bring the units back to normal operation. I did mention that both remotes were working the last time I used the units.. about 5 months ago. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.. Ill try to help if I can. Thanks for looking, too.

Oppo DV-981HD DVD CD Player HDMI Port RARE COMPLETE IN BOX - READ DESCRIPTION. We purchased this item, and it looks to be almost new in the box with everything included, but we can’t get it to work. The power light comes on and it makes a sound when plugged in but that’s it. I’m not sure if there’s a lock or somethings wrong with it. We are selling AS IS FOR PARTS since we do not know how to fix it. Please look at all the pictures and email any questions if interested.
