This auction is for an Oppo BDP-83 Special Edition Player with Power Cord. No remote included in this listing. There is an issue with the tray / door opening. See below for details. The limited run Special Edition model differs from the standard model with revised audio board using the ESS Technology Sabre32 Ultra DAC (ES9016) and the ESS Sabre Premier 8-channel DAC (ES9006). Other than the tray open/close issue this player works. If you are would like the original remote I am listing the remote separately. If you win listing for the remote and win listing for the Oppo BDP-83 Special Edition Player I will combine shipping. KNOWN ISSUE There is an issue with the disc tray / door mechanism. It sometimes gets stuck and wont open. Ive found that if I keep a disc in the tray its more likely to open. If theres no disc then it wont open. As specified on the Oppo website this is a known issue. I contacted Oppo in 2022 and they said they can fix the unit through the out of warranty process. Please contact them directly to see if this is still the case via their support website.

This is a genuine OEM OPPO remote control with a wireless range of 5-10 meters. It is compatible with OPPO models BDP-80, BDP-83, BDP-93, and BDP-95. The remote control is in black color and has various features for easy use. I got this with an oppo BDP-95 that I had bought a few years ago. I think it was a new spare that was included with player that I had bought used. I do not have any way to test it to guarantee it works but it looks like new and never been used. I used the other remote that came with the player and never had a need for the second one. Im selling it as parts just because I cant guarantee it works. Looks like there is a switch by the batteries to possibly change the channels to match up with whatever player you might have. Sold as is, no returns.
