Up for auction is a Vintage ONKYO TX-38 Tuner Amplifier Here is a Vintage ONKYO TX-38 Quartz Synthesized Tuner Amplifier. This is in Good Condition and shows some signs of age and/or use. There are no obvious signs of damage, misuse or poor storage. It was briefly tested using Headphones as well as Scott Speakers (listed separately). We were able to tune in several FM Stations and check the Balance, Bass & Treble. It’s a little dirty and shows its age a little but we found no issues with it. We are offering it As Is. This is a nice sounding 80’s stereo receiver with some cool features. Has a phono input for your turntable and decent power output with low distortion. There are some scratches on top of the aluminum faceplate that have been touched up but you can’t really tell from a few feet away or especially once in a cabinet or on a shelf. The unit was cleaned inside and out and all the switches and potentiometers were cleaned out and any suspect solder connections were touched up. Any dried up corrosive/conductive glue was removed. A few suspect capacitors were checked and all were in spec. This is a working receiver with nice sound quality. Specs: Tuning range: FM, MW Power output: 55 watts per channel into 8?
