He kept it in his entertainment room for its entire life and only occasionally used it to watch movies.The receiver has always been kept in a temperature and humidity controlled environment and kept clean.This receiver has excellent sound that is on par with a higher end receiver from brands such as Marantz, Yamaha, Denon, etc. That applies whether youre watching a movie, gaming or listening to music. The sound is very smooth and not at all harsh sounding. I just watched the Spider-Man (2002) DVD using this receiver and some Boston Acoustics CR75 bookshelf speakers and the speakers sounded fantastic while watching the movie. The audio is very clear, full bodied and theres plenty of bass. You can tell this receiver has a lot of power when you listen to speakers connected to it. Cheaper receivers that are very lightweight and have wimpy power supplies produce a sound that is very thin and underwhelming. This receiver doesnt have that problem.
