Questo sintoamplificatore Onkyo, è un prodotto che si discosta notevolmente dal segmento commerciale a cui appartiene, in quanto le prestazioni musicali sono di gran lunga superiori alla norma. All’ascolto, colpisce la grande autorità con cui pilota le basse frequenze, la straordinaria trasparenza della gamma media e la gamma alta estesa e rifinita. Il TX-7840,insieme al fratello minore TX-7830, hanno prestazioni superiori a molte combinazioni pre-finali anche di costo triplo (sono infatti conosciuti dagli audiofili e molto scambiati). Merito di queste prestazioni sono sicuramente il ridottissimo utilizzo di circuiti integrati (stati pre a discreti), lo stadio finale surdimensionato, anch’esso a discreti e la polarizzazione spinta degli stessi. Anche la sezione radio è ottima (come tutte le Onkyo), molto sensibile e capace di rendere ascoltabili anche stazioni deboli ma soprattutto dall’ottima timbrica, qualità che molti sintonizzatori top non possono vantare. Questo esemplare ha avuto un solo proprietario, non è mai stato riparato, conservato in casa di non fumatori e prima della vendita è stato controllato/pulito/rinnovato/revisionato dal nostro laboratorio audio.Dispone di telecomando Onkyo per controllare tutte le funzioni, incluso il volume di ascolto. Per la massima tranquillità, sono stati sostituiti i tre relè che controllano l’attivazione delle uscite altoparlanti, unica parte che potrebbe, nel tempo, dare problemi (vedi ultima foto).
