It has active cooling installed and heat sinks on the HDMI board to address the overheating that is common with these units. The active cooling is simply three Noctura fans (140mm, 120mm and. 60mm) wired and plugged in to the accessory slot on the back so it can be manually unplugged if desired. Only selling because I don’t use it at much as I should and I feel like it would be better off with someone who can enjoy it more frequently. Comes with the Audyssey setup mic for automatic sound leveling, time delay, and equalization. Please note that the HDMI card on this receiver is NOT WORKING. Actually I think that either the HDMI input or output might be working, but not both. I havent had it plugged in for a couple of years. Other than HDMI, I believe the receiver works as intended. It has had the repair done to fix the front display, so it can be used without a TV. It has a total of 5 digital audio inputs (2 optical and 3 coaxial), so you can still get digital surround sound from your TV, Blu-ray, etc. Also has a multitude of analog audio inputs for CD player, computer, etc. This receiver sounded GREAT when I was using it. Hugely powerful. Very customizable. You can assign the various digital inputs to the source name that you prefer.
