New high quality belts were installed, other parts were cleaned and lubricated, laser pickup sensitivities and focus bias measured and adjusted. The original SONY laser pickup is sensitive and sharp, very fast seeking and quickly locks to sound tracks. Discs can be loaded, ejected and shuffled smoothly. No jitters or skips in playback. All buttons and connectors work as desired. Burn-in tested for over 72 hours. Originally built in 2003, the unit is in an excellent cosmetic condition with a few minor scratches and nicks on the front and upper surfaces. Display is bright and clear. See pictures. FOR PARTS ONLY, MAYBE REPAIR -- READ: Passed down from my brother with the 805x amp & speakers and the following info: It was working up until 8 years ago, then it stopped because the belts wore out and the tray/door wouldnt open. He tried to DIY diagnose & fix but gave up after one of the disc trays snapped in half and he couldnt find a replacement (?). He just put everything back together (minus the broken tray, which is included in a zip-lock). US POWER-SUPPLY VERSION, SOLD AS IS, FOR PARTS, AS DESCRIBED AND PICTURED. NO RETURNS.
