Hi Gang - Up for auction is super clean Nakamichi NR-200 Dolby B & C Noise Reduction System. A very rare, high quality outboard noise reduction system that can be used with any high quality analogue recorder, e.g. cassette, reel to reel, elcassette etc. It’s ideal for adding Dolby noise reduction to a high quality cassette not fitted with Dolby, eg early Nakamichis, Revox etc, or to add Dolby C noise reduction which didnt find it way on to many decks. Also ideal for reel to reel machines which were mostly not fitted with Dolby. The unit is in excellent condition except for a few minor scratches on the top cover. The front panel looks new, as do the back and sides. Inside looks brand new, no leaking caps or any evidence of water/moisture or smoke damage. See pictures for details. The inside is like new. The case is excellent. Comes with the original English owners manual and a copy of the multi-language manual. this NR200 was purchased from Electronic Service Labs (The #1 Nakamichi Experts) in 2007, after a thorough check-over. Mit Strom scheinen alle Funktionen zu funktionieren. Ich muss das Gerät als Defekt/Ersatzteil verkaufen da ich in dieser Kategorie keine Erfahrung habe was den Bautechnischen Zustand betrifft. Up for auction is a Nakamichi NR-200 Dolby B/C noise reduction system. The unit is fully serviced and the following repairs have been done: - Replaced the orange electrolytic caps in the audio circuits using Elna Silmic II audio caps.- Replaced the orange PP capacitors using Wima PP caps.- Replaced the power supply filter caps using Nichicon KW audio caps. - Increased the Dolby ICs power supply filter caps value from 470uF to 1000uF.- Cleaned the potentiometers using deoxit D5.- Adjusted the electronics for correct levels. All the functions are operating as they should be, 400hz test tone, dolby B/C, MPX. Externally it is in very good condition, considering the age ( please check the pictures). This is a 100V model, S/N 05473. With the unit are included the old parts. All the questions are very welcome. I moved recently in US from Greece, where I was working in Greek Nakamichi service during 90s and I have all the professional equipment (original test tapes, oscilloscope, wow & flutter meter, distortion meter, frequency response meter, CR-7 test unit, 1000ZXL test unit).
