New crossover capacitors have been installed in both speakers with high-quality replacements. These should last for decades. The high Pass crossovers were replaced with a Clarity Caps, Matching the original specs. The woofer capacitor was replaced with a high quality axial cap. Resisters were replaced with 1% spec wire wound, copper lead models. $55 in materials. The upgrade was pretty drastic in clarity. Bass was always good but now smoother. Drivers are in perfect shape with no tears or rips or rot. The speakers sound wonderful. They produce great sound for their size. I have listened to many, many monitor speakers and these rank with some of the best. Truly. They come with the original plastic wrap and foam corner, supports and protectors. These are surprisingly rare, and an absolutely outstanding addition to any surround system. They have built-in wall mounts that can be placed at the top or bottom, in order to try to keep the tweeter closer to ear level. These have GORGEOUS build quality and aesthetics to match the rest of the NHT classic series. Extremely low profile with the direct wall mounts, where no extra hardware is needed aside from a single screw in the wall. Theyre also very small in order to fit into tight spaces such as a high-end desktop system. Extremely cool little speakers with lots of engineering. Dont miss out on this!! Condition: A few small scuffs and scratches from being moved, installed, and re-installed a few times over the years, but nothing serious that is noticeable from the seating position. The tweeter heat sinks have been re-torqued to spec as per NHT tech support and these play beautifully, like a tiny version of the SB1 or SB2.
