TLDR: heavy duty old school quality beats out the current gen SuperOnes (version 2.1)!!! Make me a reasonable offer :) Rare and excellent condition NHT Model 1.1 finished in a genuine thick oak veneer. These were lightly refurbished / updated with new old stock woofers from the successive model (the SuperOne) which were purchased directly from the NHT parts department. No other modifications besides doubling up the amount of poly-fill inside. In general, NHT speakers are a tremendous platform for DIY Hi-Fi projects if you want to go further with a custom crossover, etc. Compared to the current production year SuperOne 2.1, these have much thicker and heavier cabinets with angled faceplates that arguably provide additional rigidity, improved in-room imaging, and improved back-wave cancellation inside the cabinets. Thus, these are a matched left and right pair (shared serial number), which is a more expensive design and was abandoned in later years for cost-savings. These also have some wonderful old school details that were phased out for cost-cutting, like solid brass logos on the grilles. These are in generally excellent condition but you will find several small chips and scratches that are noticable if you are looking very closely... nothing major that detracts from the appearance at a listening position. Absolute minimal wear and tear considering the price and 1996 production year. I ship items on Saturday mornings via UPS due to a hectic mid-week schedule so please allow several days handing time in most cases.
