For sale is an original, 1970s-era Dual phono preamplifier. This was sold primarily in Germany as an additional unit that would be installed in the base of a same-era turntable (1219, 1229, 1218, 1209, etc etc) and was used primarily for non-Dual amplifiers that did not have a phono input. However, it can be used on all Dual or non-Dual amps. The TVV 47 is similar to the TVV 46, but has a much more advanced sound processing circuit (reviews exist online in German comparing the two preamps). I have completely restored this TVV 47 by replacing all of the original electrolytic capacitors (most of which are known to crack), as well as cleaning of the audio contacts. I replaced the power cord (which was originally fitted with a 6-inch length EU power plug); it now has a U.S. plug with a long enough cable to give you flexibility in the TVVs placement. It also has a full set of mounting hardware in case you have a Dual plinth (which all have mounting holes for this pre-installed in the base).
