The main features of the Nakamichi MR-2 are: 2 heads, mechanical 3 digit tape counter and memory stop, manual tape type selection and capable of handling normal, chrome and metal tapes, belt driven single-capstan transport. Typical front loading cassette deck with the cassette compartment located on the center of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well. Level meters used on the MR-2 are generic digital peak reading meters. As can be seen in the pictures, the unit is very, very clean and has almost no damage or scratches. The motor runs but right now only the left side so it spits out tape so probably needs a belt or some adjustment but overall a beautiful looking unit that needs some TLC to get it working again.
