For sale my old favorite Cassette deck, Nakamichi 480 2 head, made in Japan. Serial number 83852. I bought this years ago and we used it for years, usually playing our old favorite xmas extra long playing cassettes. It stopped doing auto reverse direction, then seems it wouldnt fast forward or reverse, then it would only play in one direction, and then it ceased to play. When taking pics for this I noted the right hand audio meters illumination is out. I was gonna fix but not now Im too old. Needs a young DYI electronic or careful tech type person to repair. There as alot of YouTubes on the repairs of these and the belts and some other small item is often the cause of this but the surgery is too much me. Hope this finds someones stereo system to enhance. Nice Nakamichi 480 cassette deck with new belts, idler tire, bad lamps replaced, new capstan motor, eject cable repaired and transport cleaned and aligned. Has a few scuffs on cover nothing serious, plays and records very well. Like Ive said since the deck hit the market in 1979 the 480 gives fantastic performance for the price. Will be well packed and shipped in a new heavy-duty box.
