For sale is a used Nakamichi 410 Preamp it does not power on or produce sound so it is being sold as for repair/restoration. I looked inside but could not see or smell anything burnt, there is a small fuse on the bottom of one of the boards that is soldered in place that may be burned out that might be the issue but my eyesight is not good enough to see. of course it may well be something more costly to fix also but it is a place to start. the top cover is scratched but can be easily solved with a can of black spray paint. This is a very rare and sought after preamp the phono section is supposed to be superb. This however is being sold as is for parts with no returns since it is non working.

This set has only been tested as you see it (with tuner). Phono/aux/tape and all other inputs and outputs have not been tested. When using as you see it the right channel (speaker) is not working. The power amp (420) has been taken apart by the previous owner (some screws on front and side missing). The tuner (430) and preamp (410) seem to be working correctly (buttons, dials functioning) but not guaranteed. Cosmetically they have wear from use with the 410 having many scratches and blemishes. Being sold as is. Overall can be a great set with some work. Feel free to ask questions and we will do our best to provide info. Thanks for looking at our listing!

Nakamichi 410 Preamplifier Works Fine w/ Phono. In good used condition. shows average wear for its age. All line level inputs and MM phono inputs work as they should.Tape functions were not checked.Controls and switches treated with F-5 & D-5 Deoxit cleaners and work as designed. Power indicator lamp is not working.Under the hood, things are pretty clean with minimal dust. The circuit boards are populated with all original components.There is no sign of service work. It appears the top cover was re-sprayed at some point. Anodized black face-plate shows its age with some lettering worn away and mottling in places.See photos for physical condition.I bought this some while back with the intention of re-capping it and using it in my office system.Time marches on and I dont see that happening now.Guaranteed as described. Used Nakamichi 410 preamplifier, for parts or repair. I opened the unit only to inspect the interior and take photos. Right channel with weak output, left channel appears to be working properly. It looks like somebody else had opened the chassis before me, as there are some mis-matched and missing screws. The cosmetic condition is great, with hardly any flaws on the original wood cabinet. Two largest flaws shown in photos. Shipping to contiguous 48 states for $50 or less, will re-calculate once buyers location is known.

Nakamichi 410 Preamplifier. Fully functional apart from status light. Replacement bulbs are available on eBay. At some time, the power plug has been replaced by a female kettle socket. A standard kettle lead will be needed to power-on. Cosmetics are very good given it’s age, please see photos. The Nakamichi 410 is renowned for it’s superb phono stage, but if you are looking at this you already know that ???? Clearing out my unused Hi-Fi stuff, so please see my other listings.
