From the year of manufacture, its serial number should be around 22000 making it a desirable Dragon. Inside looks mint and face plate has all the lettering quite bright meaning minimum use The main issue was frozen Grease on the transport and Pinch roller pivot locking up the head block from moving. It had frozen Cam control Pot. Nakamichi used really crazy Grease which freezes as solid mass if the Deck is stored for years . Servicing this Pivot issue requires completely stripping the the head block including guides to clean. Then making it absolutely necessary to align the Tape guides very precisely for NAAC to work correctly. NAAC Electronics also required some corrections along with DD motor cleaning / re-lubing along with complete head alignment/ playback level/ Meter / Tone Oscillator/Record Electronic calibration. Now the Deck works smoothly and plays like a brand new Dragon. Inside looks great. Since the machine is almost new in terms of its internal /cosmetic condition, it is really fantastic machine along with blemish free External Cosmetics List of work donePinch Roller Pivot removal / cleaning re-fitting with alignment along with Transport disassembly and Cleaning.
