The six DIN inputs are relay switched, improving performance. Much care in the design has been afforded to making the casework and PCB as low resonance as possible and to isolate the PCB from interference in its environment. The NAC 152 XS features an additional output alongside the Naim Audio standard DINs. This stereo output on two RCA sockets is optimised for connection to an active subwoofer and supports the growing use of 2.1 systems. Its rear panel layout is similar to the NAC 202 and hence is Fraim friendly. The NAC 152 XS can be powered from the preamp power outputs of the NAP 155 XS or NAP 200 or can be upgraded by powering it from either a FlatCap XS or HiCap power supply. One of the DIN inputs can supply power to a Naim Audio StageLine outboard phono stage.

Naim Audio NAC 52 POTS 8 preamplifier from 1995 in excellent condition. Upgraded to POTS 8 and was serviced 10 years ago, no phono boards installed. Includes original manual, Black Burndy, original remote and SNAIC5. There is a small crack on the remote, but it works fine. I can include Narcom 3 for additional $100. Shipping is free and itll be to ConUS only. Here is the excerpt from the late Malcolm Stewards review of NAC 52 originally published in Audiophile in May 1990. I listened at length to some old, mono Verve recordings by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. These albums, on virtually any system, should demonstrate how close one can get to a performer through the medium of hi-fi. It’s as though the artists are singing directly to you and you alone. You feel as though you’re in very close proximity to the performers, a proximity that transcends physical distance. Via the NAC52 this impression was heightened to a degree that became alarming, almost frightening. Rather than sitting listening to four loudspeaker drive units vibrating air within the room, you felt as though Ella and Louis were seated on the chair next to you, a hand on one’s shoulder, singing into one’s ear. To describe the experience as intimate would be a gross understatement. I was struck by the system’s ability to portray the voices with stunning veracity.
