This is a very nice-looking, well-built, durable, and exceptional-sounding turntable. Its not a lightweight, coming in at a little over 15 lbs. The plinth is made of TNRC (Technics Non-Resonance Compound), providing an acoustic shield. The feet are spring-loaded isolation pads. You can see the clean design in the pictures. The best part of the design is the ability to control and operate this turntable. The built-in strobe with this platter and the pitch control allows you to monitor and adjust the pitch for each speed and for either 50 Hz or 60 Hz (the top 2 rings on the platter are for 50 Hz and the bottom 2 are for 60 Hz). You have an anti-skating control, and the ability to adjust the arm lift height and the automatic return. These hit the market around 1979/1980 for around $200 ( in 2024 dollars thats over $800). This is well cared for exceptionally clean turntable (see pictures to evaluate the cosmetics). The video shows the quality of the turntable as well as the functionality. Nagaoka MP11 Boron MM Phono Cartridge Fitted with genuine & correct nagaoka Stylus This quality cartridge is in full working order. Left and right coil continuity both measure good, no twists or kinks in the cantilever, the suspension is fine and the stylus tip looks perfect when viewed under a stylus tip magnifying glass.
