This piece has new capacitors in the amplifier section (ones that typically fail due to heat). The low voltage supply also has new filters for good measure. Ive scoped the channels for high freq. oscillation and excessive ripple (none found). The output DC offset meets spec and the DC bias was adjusted to factory settings. I ran an 8 hour listen test attached to my Martin Logan electro-static speakers with no problems. Cosmetics: there is some slight paint loss along the top front edge due to poor handling by the salvage company. VERY RARE. GOOD LUCK FINDING ANOTHER UNTOUCHED WORKING UNIT IN THIS CONDITION . No issues, smoke free, refresh kit about 50$ if you wanted to upgrade and refresh it. NAD 216 Stereo Power Amplifier THX Nice warm sounding and powerful vintage NAD amplifier. This unit has a very clean face and some small nicks on the top edge whichis normal for its age. This unit was well take care of and I am the second owner. Some small indentations on the top vents. The new NAD class D amps do not sound like these warm sounding units. Owned by non smoker without pets and kids. This unit was used with the NAD 114 preamp and was well take care of. Shipping will be $45 in the lower 48 States.

This amplifier is cosmetically beautiful! Left channel works perfect, but right channel has issues. The right channel will intermittently pop a few minutes after turn on. This pop will make it bounce into protect at a minimum. It may also cook the speaker and or speaker output relay when this happens. After the pop which may or may not occur, the amp will play all day just fine! If it doesn’t pop within 15 or 20 minutes, it will play fine all day. All electrolytes in that channel have been replaced along with several transistors in the front stage. I have been unable to find the issue because 1) it is so inconsistent and 2) it is a couple second event. Heating and cooling components seem to have no effect. You are buying as is.

This amplifier is in pristine beautiful condition. One corner scratched and fixed with mixed model paints to colour match. Monster amp power output for 5 channels 2 front 2 back 1 subwoofer It has been cleaned and treated to get the best sound quality with no crackles when knobs are adjusted. The sound quality is clean, clear, smooth and robust. It fills a 2000 Square foot room fully at 1/8 volume, and when demanded can clear the room at full volume. You will need a powerful set of stereo speakers to handle this amplifiers full output. If any issues I will work with you to resolve them. I fully stand behind the equipment I service. It will give you many years of reliable quality service with the modern parts replaced. I also downloaded a manual to be sent with the amplifier.
