Neben der hochwertigen Wiedergabe von Filmen ist dann zum Beispiel auch das Angebot an hochauflösender Musik von Blu-ray nutzbar. Für die Verbindung mit einem analogen Vollverstärker oder einer analogen Vorstufe ist der M51 mit symmetrischen und asymmetrischen Analogausgängen ausgestattet. Diese zeichnen sich neben der Class-A-Signalverarbeitung durch eine sehr geringe Ausgangsimpedanz aus. Da der M51 über eine hochwertige, vollkommen digitale Lautstärkeregelung verfügt, kann er auch als digitaler Vorverstärker direkt in Kombination mit einem Endverstärker eingesetzt werden. Die Auswahl der sechs digitalen Eingangskanäle sowie die Regulierung der Lautstärke kann dann über die mitgelieferte Fernbedienung erfolgen.
