Im selling my beloved NAD Masters Series M25 7-channel power amplifier because Im downsizing my system. Its one of the best amps NAD ever made. Its THX Ultra2-certified, meaning it passes the most stringent of tests by THX. If you know this amp, you know they rarely come up for sale. Please note that 1 of the 8 small blue lights has dimmed. All of the small red lights are still bright. These lights have nothing to do with the sound of the amp. In March of 2022 I had the power button fixed, and also had new caps etc done at the same time. So this amp is in excellent condition and it sounds just as it should. Very rare because NAD did not keep it in production long despite the reviews below, as apparently they did not make a profit on it, and replaced it with cheaper and inferior implementations. The Absolute Sound - December 2009 Despite costing one-tenth as much as my reference system (all the components of which are outstanding), the M2 was extremely engaging musically. Overall, I preferred the reference system, but not by as much as the price disparity would suggest. I usually wouldnt judge a $6000 product against one costing more than $50k, but the M2s outstanding performance in many areas invited the comparison. NADs M2 is a triumph on many levels, not the least of which is that it points toward a new direction in amplifier design and system architecture. I predict that years from now audiophiles will look back on the M2 as the progenitor of the next generation of audio. Once I had changed my system approach, the NAD M2 provided many nights of extended listening, with one album leading to just one more. And one more. While the M2 is relatively large and heavy for a class-D amplifier, runs warmer than you might expect, and is not inexpensive, when fed high-quality PCM data it offers sound quality that competes with that of the best conventional amplifiers.
