This NAD C316BEE has been upgraded with new Main Caps, new audio coupling caps, a new speaker relay, and a custom Preamp Output for use with a powered subwoofer, external power amp, etc. The Preamp Output is provided by a spare Op-Amp in each channel configured as a non-inverting buffer such that there is no load presented to the original signal path. The existing Tape Output path already had On/Off Muting suitable for a Preamp Out, and it works great with my Boston HD-5 satellites and my Velodyne subwoofer. Im also including a learning 6 button remote that is programmed to control Power ON (but not OFF), Volume UP/DOWN, Mute ON/OFF, plus Source Selections for DISC (or MP) and AUX. I can also reprogram it as requested. The original infamous SAMXON Main caps were below spec, so I replaced them with nichicon 105C. The original JH caps are 105C rated and test fine, but since there were only a half dozen electrolytic inter-stage audio coupling caps, I upgraded them all to nichicon Fine Gold. I also installed a new speaker relay for good measure, since it is a common failure. There are two Power Amp Bias adjustments per channel (Coarse and Fine) that I replaced with a single multi-turn equivalent. The slightest tweak to the original Coarse adjustment could set things way off, while the multi-turn provides the same accuracy without concern for vibration or accidental disturbance. NAD 316BEE Stereo Integrated Amp in Excellent Condition. I purchased this amp new in 2014 for use as a secondary system and as such the amp has had very few actual hours of use. The unit has been installed in a stereo rack in my smoke free home since purchase. Included is a copy of the manual and the remote control. Note that the remote is the newer AMP 2 remote (see Addendum Sheet-last page of the manual). The amp puts out 40W/Channel at 8 ohms continuous. Has both Bass & Treble controls with a Tone Defeat switch. Plus the amp has a 1/4 headphone jack. Note that this NAD is a Type AB amplifier so it weighs in at over 12 lbs.
