NAD C270 Stereo Power Amplifier - for sale by original owner in excellent condition. US version. Includes all original packaging and documentation including the owners manual. I bought this NAD C270 power amp (and the companion NAD C160 preamp in my other listing) in 2002 as NAD factory refurbished units. The original sales receipt is included with each unit. I used them in my home stereo system for several years - they sounded great and worked perfectly. Key features of the NAD C270: 120W x 2 continuous power into 8 ohms. 210W, 340W, 450W dynamic power into 8, 4 and 2 ohms, respectively. Bridgeable to 300W mono into 8 ohms. 12V trigger input for Standby/On switching. Double set of loudspeaker binding posts to facilitate bi-wiring. NAD Impedance Sensing Circuit (ISC) topology. Toroidal power transformer. All discrete circuitry. All sockets gold plated. Both fixed and variable inputs, switch selectable. Soft clipping. Following a stereo system update a few years ago both the preamp and power amp were stored back in their original factory packaging. They have always been in a climate controlled, smoke-free household environment. Although this unit was working properly when last used, it has been in storage for several years and I was not able to fully test it out before listing it this sale. This listing is for a used NAD C272 2-channel power amplifier. Rated at 150 watts per channel. The amplifier can also be used in bridged mode at 300 watts into 8 ohms. Included is the power cord and a photocopy of the owners manual There is also a selectable feature called soft clipping which can be used to help save your speakers from damage when playing the stereo loudly. The power amp is working as it should and is in decent condition but does have the usual usage marks given its 20 year age. We will package this well and also insure to assure safe arrival. NAD C272 2-Channel Power Amplifier I suspect if you are looking at this item you are already aware of NADs audiophile quality sound and vastly understated specifications. Not to mention their high current and very heavy Holmgren Toroidal Power Transformers; so, there is no doubt I could have very little to add. For the past several years this amp has had a very easy life, powering only the tweeters in bi-amped speakers. It was working flawlessly when I disconnected and packed it back in its original factory packaging. I lost track of the original Owners Manual years ago, and have been using the one that is included, which is only a printout of the NAD .pdf file (link above). I am aware of only a few minimal flaws in the case (see image #6). There is a small scratch on the front panel, which has been touched up with matching paint. I had a really tough time finding a flash setting that would even allow it to show. There are additionally a couple of minor marks on the side panel from where I had mounted NAD rack handles.
