Up for sale is this very nice NAD AM/FM Stereo Receiver Model C-740 in excellent shape. Tested and working perfect. The unit is very clean with only a few marks and scuffs, most noticeable one is towards the top left back (Picture # 8). Please look at all pictures and video for an exact cosmetic condition. Tested and working as it should. NAD is well known for making quality units and this particular one is an example of them. Solidly built with quality components, it puts out very clean sound. AM/FM pull in stations strong and effortlessly with amazing clarity. Sound stage is very open and musical. Even though it is only a 35 WPC amplifier dont let this fool you, it has plenty of power to drive any speakers. No remote control included. Will provide black and white copy of the Owners Manual. I have personally use these speakers in a sound great. They look pretty good with a few small things here and there as can be seen in the photos. They are missing the front grills, but they are simple and could be remade. Right now I prefer local pickup, but I may be willing to take them apart if somebody can use all components. These are very rare speakers, they are made by ads, and I would prefer not to part them out so I am trying to sell them as is for pickup. I may weigh them and see if I can find a box, but it would be very expensive to ship them.

Everything works perfectly and is currently in use in my system. Has a few minor cosmetic scratches. Fully digital amplifier with extremely clear sound. Doesnt have the phase shift/distortion issues at high frequencies that are common in analog amplifiers. The highs in particular are quite good. It also does not distort at high volumes and plays very cleanly. Its a very interesting amp. The low heat output is also nice in the summer. Earlier this year I replaced the 5V capacitors in the power supply as I was having issues with the amp not fully booting up and those caps were near failure. This problem is documented on the diyaudio forum. I also replaced the amplifier output filter caps as a couple were also bulging.
