NAD 804 - Floor Standing 2 Way Loudspeakers. Rarely available NAD speakers. Tested immediately prior to listing and still sounding superb. NAD 804 is a two-way phase-inverting speaker system. The dimensions of the speaker are 720x200x260 mm. Half of the body volume, which is relatively modest, is taken up by the resonator, on its rear panel the phase inverter exit is located. The woofers diameter is 170 mm, the diameter of the dome high frequency driver 28 mm. Power input is 100 watts. Bi-wiring or bi-amping is possible via the gold plated binding posts. These also accept 4 mm banana plugs. The sensitivity of the speakers is 87-88 dB. The frequency response of the input resistor module looks nicely shallow (maximum of less than 15 ohms, minimum of about 4 ohms). So your amplifier will be happy to cooperate with a pair of NAD 804s, the nominal resistance of which is 6 ohms. The phase invertor tuning frequency is 40 Hz; the frequency section of speakers is 1.5 kHz. Selling as I simply do not have the space for these anymore. These are vintage loudspeakers in very good condition. They do of course have the odd mark here and there, they are not perfect but they are in very good condition considering their age. I believe these were originally all black and have been vinyl wrapped to a good standard. The speaker cloth is clean and tear free and in excellent condition. Overall these are very smart looking speakers and pleasing to behold. The speakers come with floor spikes for carpeted floors or upon removal of these they sit on silicone pads for hard floor use.
