NAD 6050C Vintage Stereo Cassette Tape Deck Item has not been fully tested but powers up. Drive does not work as the drive belts needs replacing (see photos) therefore I cannot comment on the head condition. There is a crack in the tape deck plastic head protector but this has been glued and functions normally.Cosmetically in good condition for an item of this age. Check the photos to judge as these form part of the description. The main features of the NAD 6050C are: 2 heads, mechanical 3 digit tape counter, manual tape type selection and capable of handling normal, chrome and metal tapes, belt driven single-capstan transport.Typical front loading cassette deck with the cassette compartiment located on the left side of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed directly over the head block. Additionally the heads can be easilly accessed for cleaning.Level meters used on the 6050C are generic digital peak reading meters. Soft-touch controls for fast and easy transport function selection of the 6050C.Dolby C-type used in the 6050C provides 20 dB of noise reduction above about 1,000 Hz, fully doubling the amount given by B-type. The 19kHz multiplex pilot slgnal present in FM stereo broadcasts can cause false triggering of the noise reduction system. The switchable MPX filter of the 6050C filters out the pilot signal, and assuring proper Dolby processing of FM stereo programs.To make live recordings this deck has 2 microphone inputs to connect microphones with a jack connector. For undisturbed listening a jack connector for a pair of stereo headphones is supplied.
