Description
This is a 1998-vintage NAD C 440 AM/FM Stereo Tuner that is completely tested and is fully functional. The original 1998 MSRP was $279, which is the equivalent of $539 in 2024. NAD stands for New Acoustic Dimension, and the company was founded in 1972. Dimensions: 17.1” W, 3.1” H, 11.4” D, 7.7lbs. This NAD C 440 is serial #09X4409461. The original owner’s manual is included. There is no remote. I am passionate about vintage tuners. I take the time to test every single function of the tuner by connecting it to a good FM antenna and also connecting it to an integrated amplifier and speakers. Doing this lets me listen to how the tuner receives stations and actually sounds. I check every single switch, control and button to confirm that they work as intended. After the initial assessment, I thoroughly clean the outside and inside of the tuner and clean every potentiometer and switch with CRC QD Electronic cleaner. This particular NAD C440 is in very good shape cosmetically, as you can see from the photos. It is absolutely pristine inside. Functionally, all of the LEDs, displays and buttons work as designed. Most importantly, it tunes FM stations very well and sounds great. It is hard to believe that it is roughly 26 years old! The tuner will be wrapped with plastic cling wrap and bubble wrap, before being placed into a sturdy box with appropriate packing material. I dont overcharge for shipping. This is sold as is due to being a vintage electronic item. Please look at the photos and ask any questions before buying. Thanks for looking!

A few minor minor marks on top and faceplate-see pix One of the pixels on the last digit is out ,seems to be common for these tuners Sounds really good Specifications Type: Mono/Stereo Tuner Tuning Bands: FM, MW Tuning Scale: Digital FM Tuning Range: 88 to 108 MHz Sensitivity: 1.8uV (FM), 300uV (MW) Signal to Noise Ratio: 75dB (FM) Distortion: 0.3% (FM) Selectivity: 70dB (FM), 35dB (MW) Frequency response: 30Hz to 15kHz (FM) Dimensions: 420 x 108 x 380mm Weight: 4.25kg NAD 4130 (1986, $230, photo) search eBay We'll leave this one to our contributor Zeljko: This simple PLL tuner uses a Matsushita front end with the electronic equivalent of 4 gangs, offering good selectivity and decent image rejection - nothing spectacular for the latter but certainly excellent for the price! The tuning system provides 5 presets for each band, frequency, 'tuned' and centering indications. The IF uses matched ceramic filters with amplification in between and, while not cutting off the sidebands to utmost perfection (like some $1,000 tuners!), it offers less distortion and better sound quality for the frequently overmodulated local stations. Although typically NAD no-frills (to the point of being nondescript), this tuner does have an interesting feature that is never seen on such a cheap device: dynamic FM hi-blend noise reduction. Unlike fixed FM blends, or those with steps, this system actually monitors the output signal for HF noise created by FM de-multiplexing and dynamically adjusts the amount of mono-to-stereo blending to cancel out the distortion. This useful feature is also defeatable, when you want to listen to the purest sound from a high signal station. Like most inexpensive digitals, the 4130 tunes in 200 kHz increments. Our panelist Bob adds that the 4130 has a single IF path and uses a quad detector, the LA3380 MPX chip, and an NJM 4023 dual op-amp per channel on the outputs. The ceramic filters are configured as follows: mixer, single-tuned IF t-x, JFET amp, CF1, LA1222 amp, CF2, LA1222 amp, CF3, LA1235 limiter/detector chip. The 4130 can usually be found for $20-50 on eBay

Description
This system is in very good physical and working condition. As seen in pictures, there are some minor signs of wear on the units. This system has been tested and all functions work as intended. All channels and input/output have been checked and are operational. Please see video. The video does not do justice to the sound quality of the system. I can assure you that I had that system turned up loud when doing the video. Tested on a pair of Bose 401, rated up to 200watts. This is a very good sounding system, and I have no doubt that whom ever gets this system will enjoy it thoroughly . Plenty of power! As seen in pictures, I included a picture of the shipping dimensions and weight of this item. Please reach out directly for an exact shipping quote. Things to note: Missing power button ( I have a replacement one and will send with the system). Missing 2 audio jack caps (see pictures). NO REMOTE Please reach out with any questions before making a purchase. Thanks!

Description
For sale is NAD 1600 tuner preamp and Nad 2100 Power amplifier. I had them for many years, mostly collecting dust. DUE TO nature of vintage electronics sold AS-IS, however see description below: NAD 1600 is in good condition, tested all channels except phono, surfaces are clean. No remote!NAD 2100, has some dings at the back, 1 speaker terminal is broken, sometimes relay would stick but usually comes back, no protection error, but definitely would loose one channel due to solder or relay problem. Recently was working fine actually. Very powerful unit. Both units are quite clean looking, a bit of dust on knobs.Selling as combo, I dont really need them.
