With the introduction of this cartridge, we were the first in the world to reproduce the power of reproduced sound brought about by “ultra-low impedance, high-energy output...! The driving force behind this development was the “Eminent,” an ultra-low-impedance MC cartridge. The driving force behind this success was the successful development of SH-µX, the worlds only special core material. Even though we have improved the performance of magnets and introduced various materials, we could not overcome the limitation of “magnetic characteristics of core materials”. In other words, even if a powerful magnetic circuit is introduced, it is not possible to achieve results that exceed the capability (characteristics) of the core material within an AC magnetic field. This problem has been an issue for many years, but existing magnetic materials cannot overcome this problem. After many years of study, Mysonic Labs succeeded in developing a special core material called “SH-µX”. The characteristics of SH-µX are that the output energy can be high due to the “improvement of saturation magnetic flux density (Bs)” and the response with low magnetic distortion and excellent response (transient) can be obtained due to the “improvement of initial magnetic permeability (?i)”. This characteristic was the basis for the development of the “Eminent” with its low impedance (low internal output) and high energy output. Since then, Mythonic has made numerous upgrades to take the product to a higher level, culminating in the commercialization of the Signature Gold, and now, after further research, we are pleased to announce the development of the Signature Platinum. The main differences are the use of a “Titanium base” and “Boron cantilever”. By mounting a high-quality magnetic circuit on a high-strength base, the difference between the strength of aluminum alloy (super duralumin) is brought out, aiming for even more precise reproducibility, and the use of a boron cantilever, which is lightweight but has excellent sound velocity propagation characteristics, gives a sense of speed and responsiveness similar to that of the Ultra Eminent Bc. The titanium base, in particular, is made of titanium, which is a material with low material cost. The “Titanium base” is a material that is extremely difficult to cut and process, but we overcame this difficulty by adding a surface hardening treatment (Black IP process), and succeeded in bringing out the characteristics of the material even further. The difference between “Gold” and “Platinum” is that “Platinum” is more precise and has a sense of speed with excellent responsiveness, whereas “Gold” has a calm and relaxed appearance.
