However, for those of you who are new to this brand what we have here is a Musical Fidelity MM/MC (Moving Magnet/Moving Coil phono stage in silver grey and black. Moreover, while built to a high standatd this Musicsl Fidelity phono Features include: gold plated RCA inputs, MM/MC Inputs and MM/MC switch. Moreover, when partnered with good quality hi-fi components superb sonic results are achieved. With regards to the sound of the Musical Fidelity phonodtage Whether listening to jazz, classical, rock or reggae, this integrated produces a full range and detailed musical sound-stage with excellent imagery. Whereby the treble and midrange have good separation, air, detail, depth and clarity where voices, horns, pianos and strings produce a natural instrument sound quality which effortlessly ooze from the speakers. While the bass is deep yet smooth and sounds neither tiring or bloated. As for the cosmetic condition this phono stage has been used and in excellent condition and good working order with minor age and use related signs of handling scuffs to the casing. This excellent phono stage was just taken out of my stereo system. It is in excellent functional and cosmetic condition. It was a joy to use but I am downsizing my system and no longer need it. Here is a retailer description: The MX-VYNL is a fully balanced, very high performance phono stage, able to operate with virtually any moving coil or moving magnet cartridge. With both traditional RCA inputs and our unique XLR fully balanced connection the MX-VYNL can be connected to 2 turntables simultaneously. The MX-VNYL offers a wide range of input impedance settings for moving coil cartridges as well as several capacitance settings for moving magnet units. Unlike many of our competitors units the MX-VYNL allows easy adjustment of these settings while playing. This allows easy experimentation and tuning to find the optimum setting for all your equipment. The MX-VYNL also includes our renowned RIAA correction that offers extremely accurate results to beyond 80kHz. That may sound extreme, but there is a good deal of information above 20 kHz that needs correction. If it isnt corrected, it will show itself as ringing and overshoot. I needed a Phono stage that could handle both MM and MC as I have 2 Tone Arms on my Turntable. This suited the bill perfectly. Ive had it for 4 or so years and I did buy it brand new for $1000. It is very easy to switch between the types and you can do it on the fly, no powering down to switch. It is pretty much infinitely adjustable to match whatever Cartridge you have perfectly. I upgraded recently and spent several thousand more and truth be told there wasnt much gain. That having been said, Im still keeping the new one and letting this one go to a new home. It is in as new condition. Superb shape functionally and cosmetically. It ships in its original box with all the original paperwork. I keep all of my things in perfect condition with all the original packaging when I can. This comes from a NON-Smoking house. This will ship in 1 business day with USPS Ground Advantage.
