Selling a Musical Fidelity Tube Buffer X-10v3. Its a nice device, but I changed my setup (again) and it just doesnt fit now. I got it to warm up my system a little bit and after some changes its too warm :) I suggest doing some web searching to see if its right for you and to read more about it as I wont include many details here. While it comes with the original power supply, I also bought an after-market power supply unit. It has its own toroidal transformer in it instead of the wall wart original supply. Im also including an aftermarket deluxe power cable for it. Search for upgrade audiophile power supply for musical fidelity and it should come up with a full description. A little from the description: AC Power supply, EMI filter suppressing RFI noise, High quality parts (Japanese original Nichicon capacitors), 30VA Oxygen free copper Toroid Transformer.

You put the X-10D between your CD player and your preamp, active or passive. Or you can put it after your preamp, active or passive. Or you can put one X-10D before the preamp and another one after, if you like—which would have the effect of tubing everything before it goes to your power amp. Ive had this unit for many years and have used it off and on over that time.It had the original tubes but I tube rolled to get better sound. I eventually landed on Amperex (Bugle Boy) 7308, expensive but very long lived and sounds great. I did try other 6DJ8 variants (6DJ8/6922/7308) from different makers but the Amperex tubes worked best.
