This is an original Musical Fidelity X-DAC digital audio converter for use with a CD player or transport that has a digital output via either coax or Toslink. Ive been the sole owner and the converter is in very good cosmetic condition. I enjoyed this system for several years and found it was a significant upgrade over my lower-end Teac and Harmon/Kardon CD players when used without it. The X-DAC noticeably increased the richness of the sound and brought out a more realistic and smoother clarity of the instruments in a good recording. Im including a Digital Coaxial audio cable (6 feet). This is the cable I used with the X-DAC and it paired nicely with the unit.

Musical Fidelity MX-DAC. Purchased Feb last year used until April and stored as I replace it with a CD+Network DAC player No point hanging onto it now. Fully working with original packing and box I will include the usb cable I used as it did not come with one. The MX DAC has inputs for: 2 x coax (up to 24bit 192 kHz PCM), 2 x optical (up to 24bit 192kHz PCM) and asynchronous USB up to 24bit 192 kHz PCM as well as DSD 64 and DSD 128. Also, all inputs whether from coax, optical or USB, are processed in the DSD domain. This desirable feature gives a warmth and humanity to the sound that simple digital conversion doesn’t achieve.
