Selling a Musical Fidelity Tube Buffer X-10v3. Its a nice device, but I changed my setup (again) and it just doesnt fit now. I got it to warm up my system a little bit and after some changes its too warm :) I suggest doing some web searching to see if its right for you and to read more about it as I wont include many details here. While it comes with the original power supply, I also bought an after-market power supply unit. It has its own toroidal transformer in it instead of the wall wart original supply. Im also including an aftermarket deluxe power cable for it. Search for upgrade audiophile power supply for musical fidelity and it should come up with a full description. This is an original Musical Fidelity X-10D tubed output stage and buffer. The X-10D has two sets of RCA jacks, input and output. Two sets of interconnects are needed, and Im including one -- a 2 meter set of Monster Cable Standard Interlink 100. Ive been the sole owner and the unit is in very good cosmetic condition though it has not been used in a few years. It powers up but Im not currently able to test its functioning. All four of the original small rubber feet are missing. I enjoyed this system for several years and found it was a significant upgrade when placed between my lower-end Teac and Harmon/Kardon CD players and a Harmon/Kardon AV tuner. The X-10D noticeably increased the warmth and range of the sound and brought out a richness and smoothness of the instruments in a good recording.

Bought this to go between my DAC preamp and my power amp. However I’ve upgraded my amplifier and no longer have RCA input connections so I no longer require this. I personally changed out all the caps with audiophile and low-esr upgraded caps and changed the cheap Chinese tubes to a matched pair of NOS tubes. The unit sounds absolutely fabulous. Best way to add analog warmth to digital sources.
