Musical Fidelity MVT Pre Amplifier & Power Supply. Working pefectly, great sounding class A pre amplifier with MC/MM phono stage. It is supplied with its original, seperate, power supply. Lots of scratches on the pre amp and power supply. I have had this pre amplifier for some time and in that time I have lost the original volume control knob. I have found another black knob which works fine but it is not the original. This Pre amplifier has loads of inputs including those for 2 tape decks and a moving coil and moving magnet phono stage, which I think is superb. I include a power supply cable which is non original and would really benefit from a high quality mains cable. It is totally original inside and as already mentioned is a class A design. There is no noise from the controls, no scratching or clicks and works as it should. As this amp is working perfectly but not looking at its best, I have reflected this in the price. WELCOME TO AMP KING AUCTIONS Musical Fidelity MVT Classic Preamp by the design experts, Musical Fidelity. This one runs in Class A and has the very typical sound, detail, clarity and high resolution you would expect from Class A. Some semi significant modifcations with superior parts such as.... The main diodes replaced with schottky type. Main smoothing caps Nichicon Fine Gold. All other power caps Chemi-con KMG series. Phono stage audio caps replaced with Nichicon Muse. A few Elna Cerafine for main Class A power section. New relays. And an IEC mains filter fitted into power supply unit. All contacts chemicaly cleaned. Still wearing in but expect exceptional sound quality now and in a few weeks will settle down to outstanding sound quality. Reviews state a neutral pre with no colouration and very highly regarded. This modified version is far better than those reviewed!! The Phono stage on this looks very very good so make sure to utilise it otherwise its a bit of a waste! Probably better than some silly £500 phono stages! Small blemish on PSU otherwise in excellent condition. Power cable supplied but please buy something high end, it makes a difference!
