On offer is Roger Modjeski’s crowning achievement in the world of vacuum tube amplifiers, the uber high end Music Reference RM-200 Mk II Stereo Power Amplifier. This was his last high power amplifier design, the updated Mk II edition, that was a Stereophile Magazine “Class A”recommended component for many years running, and is the model that Michael Fremer retained in his system as his long term audiophile reference. This example is in excellent physical and operational condition. It comes with the original input tubes, a quad of Gold Lion KT88 power tubes that I never used (one looked like it may have outgassed), and a matched quad of Electro-Harmonix 6550 power tubes that I did use and was very happy with. A copy of the original owners manual, and a pair of XLR to RCA input adapters are also included so that the new owner will know all about biasing the amplifier at setup, proper care for it, and will have the option for using either balanced XLR inputs or unbalanced standard RCA inputs. Only reason for sale is that I am down-sizing for retirement.
