It was Mitsubishi’s first foray into receivers. Previously they had only built separate components. The DA-R20 is a hybrid design with some analog features and some digital features. The tuner actually has both a digital LED frequency readout as well as an interesting hemispherical analog dial scale. The dark cabinet, brushed aluminum face and industrial style rack handles give it an elegant but utilitarian look. At first glance it almost looks like a piece of test equipment. Vintage Mitsubishi DA-R20 Stereo AM/FM Receiver - Tested & Working. This Mitsubishi is in working original, unrestored condition. This was Mitsubishi’s top of the line receiver in 1981, coming in at 60 watts/channel. Cosmetically, the unit is very nice overall condition with a couple of minor dings and wear. I’ve tried to capture those in the pics, so look there for condition. Lights and functions work and overall a cool, uncommon piece of vintage gear styled after their flagship separates system. I’ve included a pic of the official specs as well. This unit is being sold as is and as such, no returns will be accepted. Please make sure to ask any questions you may have. This listing is for one Mitsubishi DA-R20 Stereo Receiver from 1980. It is working and functional with minor issues. Please see photos for cosmetic condition/details. Please note, one of the Aux channels is finicky and I have had to position my Aux input in a specific way to get it to pick up both channels. I have just been using the Play 1 or Play 2 inputs for running the aux device (A PC in my case) which works the same. Phono stage works great and sounded great when paired with my Mitsubishi LT-22. Speaker A left negative clip gets stuck, but just needs a little jostling while putting in the speaker wire. Other than this, the receiver seems fully functional to me and sounds great. The other inputs work as intended. Please feel free to message me as needed.
