All the lugs and banana plugs are intact. Ive tested both cables and they sound great. These are getting to be fairly rare although it was their best selling model. If you know the product then you know the large boxes in line and close to the speaker end of the speaker wire do contain inductors and capacitors to create an enhanced image. Indeed they do tend NOT to filter out signal*. More signal gets through especially in the case of Terminator 2 (BiWire) you will hear more from both the top end and bottom end of the spectrum. You have to give these cables some time, a Lot of time, even though these have been played for many hours already. They will seem to be too much of a good thing upon first listening. Patience, please, I recommend you play the radio softly through the cables for 200 to 500 hours - Im not kidding. If you check in on them during the process you will hear what I am pointing to. They will mellow and present a more integrated stereo image with time. You have nothing to loose by trying this and youll be happier with your stereo if you give it this time. This cable set has endured some recent indignities. There is a scratch on one of the cases and a repaired cut on the cable jacket. I loaned them out to a friend I should not have. I have tested them though and they are just as they should be. Im selling them cheap because of cosmetics. Its a chance to try out some actual HiFi cable for pizza money. Good luck and do give them their due. This is NOT lamp cord in any way shape or form. Look up what Music Interface Technology is up to these days, you cant touch em anymore. Only products in the stratosphere . As shipped they have four sets of banana plugs and two sets of spade connectors - they all just screw on to threaded ends on the cable tips. Arrange them any way that suits you. *In the scheme of things, you have to consider EVERY cable a filter, one tries to filter as little as possible.

I start this auction and a silly price :-). For those who lack history a story follows... These a a few steps above your standard twin connectors even of the widest gage. The have separate conductors for the high frequency and the lowest, each terminal can be set up for spade or banana connector. This will come with spade ends at the amp and banana ends for bi-wire speaker connection. Additional connectors would be found/sold separately. Even if the connectors are removed completely the pins exposed at the end of the screw threads will wok with even the oldest pinch connection you will find on amps from the 70s. Its a versatile system. A word of caution about these cables and all cables from MIT: you need to let them play for a long time before you do a critical listen. Long time in this case is minimum 100 hours. Just hook up a radio and give them a week at low volume. Not enough people mention this and its a shame, the brand shot WAY upscale so that their customers had/have service personnel ready to assist in the process of breaking in and using the product as you might expect with things that cost 5 figures. These are, in the scene of things, HiFi things, Cheap. You just have to know a few things about their place in the chain. No miracles here, if you have mediocre gear the cable will tell on you! Most cables are filters. These filter less, which is what you want if your gear is straining to give you a clear look at the music. No MP3 files! Good Red Book gear will be fine. Hi Res streaming is a mixed bag, it depends on all the bits after the file reaches you. How long have you been on the HiFi train? I good bedroom system will benefit from better cables like these, just dont expect a huge pump up within a beginners system, its a beginner system.
