All speakers sound great! I am the original owner and have all the original boxes and manuals. I am dismantling my home theater system (getting back into 2-channel) so I am selling them as a package. Details: OM-9 towers: Pair, gloss black. Purchased from Audio Advisor in 2005. One of the speakers is pretty flawless. The other one has some cosmetic blemishes that you can see in the photos: Worn spot on front grille, rear grille is a little warped so it does not sit flush. Some scratches and scuffs. The bezel of the plastic shroud around the binding posts is cracked. Will include 4 vibrapod feet per speaker, but spikes not included. Terminal jumpers also included. OM-R2 surrounds: Pair, gloss black. Purchased from Audio Advisor in 2005. These are in excellent condition. Theyve been mounted on the wall for 19.5 years. No defects of any consequence I can see. OM-C2 center: single, gloss black. Purchased from a now-closed online retailer around 1999. Some vey light scratches and scuffs. Front badge missing (replacement badge included - see pic). The bezel of the plastic shroud around the binding posts is cracked. Also, one of the binding posts is broken. Speaker works fine because jumper still fits on the terminal. I bought binding posts to try and replace them but never got around to it. They are included along with the broken post. See pics. Alternatively a replacement unit is available elsewhere on ebay for $50-ish. Will include 4 vibrapod feet shown in pics. OM-200 subwoofer - single, gloss black. Purchased from Audio Advisor in 2005. Great condition. Some light scratches and scuffs (especially on front left gloss black trim piece. Also, the adjustment knobs were kind of rubberized, and that material deteriorated and became tacky. I attempted to clean that stuff off and was mostly successful, but the knobs appear dirty - see pic. Included is a subwoofer cable, manual, and power cable. Shipping is very expensive! They were quality crafted in Canada more than 20 years ago. This pair is in excellent cosmetic shape. All original drivers are working flawlessly, and they sound amazing. These are popular among audiophiles, and have many raves on the web. They are ideal for stereo setups, as well as front speakers in a surround sound setup. The original and flimsy top plastic caps are missing and the tops have been painted black. With the OM speakers, the engineers at Mirage have put drive units on the front and rear baffles, much like a bipolar speaker, but instead of deep speaker cabinets like most bipolar speakers, the cabinets are shallow. This configuration, coupled with the rest of the design details, helps to approximate a 360-degree or omnidirectional radiation pattern -- hence the name Omnipolar. Mirage’s Omnipolar speakers radiate 30% of their sound directly at the listener while directing 70% at room boundaries -- a ratio Mirage says mimics what we hear in real life. By doing so, Mirage claims that their speakers sound more natural and realistic than conventional forward-firing speakers that tend to direct most of their sound at the listener. The Mirage OM-9 stands 43.75 high and about 12 across . Looking at the OM-9 from its side, it has a wedge-shaped profile, starting at 6 at the top of the speaker and flaring out to just over 12 at its base.
