I am selling my Meridian G68 XXD AV PreAmp/Processor. I bought it used and owned it for two years. In February 2024 I replaced the capacitors on the Motherboard, GOEA board, and tuner board, and replaced the power supply (XP ECM60UT31). I tested it in my system, and it works great, the only reason I am selling is that I recently bought a Meridian G65. This AV PreAmp/Processor accepts 5.1 channels of input, but can output 7.1 channels by generating two additional channels for side speakers. It is a very versatile unit having 8 balanced (XLR) analogue outputs plus digital SPDIF outputs for Meridian DSP (non-Speakerlink) speakers. I used it in a mixed speaker system of analog speakers combined with Meridian DSP speakers. To drive analog speakers this does require a multi-channel power amp (not included in this sale). It has the latest firmware (v 1.5) and comes in the original box with many of the original accessories including:MSR+ remote, silver (no batteries)RS232 serial connector cableCOMS cableInstallation manualConfiguration program manualInstallation CDAntennae (FM + AM)Meridian bag. Also included:USB drive with the latest configuration software and other useful information.USB cableFour Balanced XLR to RCA converters.Power cord. This is not a “plug in and play unit”. It is best set up with the included Configuration software which runs on Windows. I used an Apple Mac mini running Parallels/Windows which worked well. A computer is not included in this sale. The Meridian Configuration software includes speaker calibration and room correction features, which for optimum setup require a sound meter and microphone (not included in this sale). Note: This unit does not accept an HDMI input. To input HDMI you need either Meridian’s own units (HD621 or HD722) or an HDMI audio extractor. These are not included in the sale. I have used both methods with success. The overall condition of the unit can be seen in the pictures, there are a couple of minor scratches/blemishes on the top plate, but these are barely visible. Please ask questions before bidding and only bid if you intend to buy.Local pick up is preferred.
